Course Overview

CATIA (Computer-Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application)

Description:

CATIA is a powerful CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software developed by Dassault Systèmes, widely used in mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive, and industrial design. This course provides in-depth training in CATIA’s various modules, including part design, assembly, drafting, and surface modeling. By the end of the course, you will be able to create complex 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings with precision and efficiency.

What You Will Learn:

Introduction to CATIA – Overview of the interface, navigation, and essential tools

Sketcher Workbench – Creating and modifying 2D sketches

Part Design – 3D modeling of mechanical components

Assembly Design – Creating and managing assemblies

Drafting & Detailing – Generating 2D drawings from 3D models

Wireframe & Surface Modeling – Creating complex surface models

Sheet Metal Design – Designing sheet metal parts

DMU Kinematics (optional) – Simulating mechanical motion

Real-World Applications – Implementing skills in engineering projects

Prerequisites:

? Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts

? Familiarity with engineering drawings and drafting principles

? Prior experience with any CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) is helpful but not mandatory

? Enthusiasm to learn 3D modeling

Who Is This Course For?
